National Sales Manager

Position Summary
The National Sales Manager maintains and expands relationships with strategically important large customers and is responsible for setting and achieving revenue goals, and completing set strategic account objectives. Additional responsibilities include managing inside sales, representing the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customer’s needs and expectations are met by the LightCorp team. Also enabling relationship networking at all levels needed within a given customer such as President, Vice President, and all through the team disciplines.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Marketing & Communications or equivalent in work experience
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in strategic sales or customer service experience
- Knowledge of office furniture market a plus
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create and deliver sales presentations and strategy recommendations
- Ability to proactively anticipate and respond to customer/market needs
- Ability to manage and positively motivate a team of sales professionals
- Travel as needed
- Ability to be on-site a minimum of 3 days/week
Essential Job Functions and Skills include, but not limited to, the following
- Cultivate and maintain strategic customer relationships at multiple levels and in multiple departments (supply chain, product management, marketing)
- Proactively analyze, review and evaluate customer sales data and performance to understand trends and develop new growth strategies as required
- Coordinate and communicate customer expectation on product specifications, volume and timing
- Working closely with Inside Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Quality, Product Management and Finance departments at LightCorp to ensure customer satisfaction along with LightCorp goals and objectives
- Participate in new product launch teams as required
- Manage and evaluate competition, providing product positioning and pricing recommendations
- Responsible for forecasting sales annually and also weekly macro-level projections with other sales managers
- Manage professional sales staff including coaching and performance management
